A slide show of Ligonier Market over the last eight years
On Saturday, we completed our eighth year at Ligonier Country Market, and what a fantastic end to a successful year! Thank you to everyone who supports the market, the vendors, and us. This year, the market was able to reset, and the energy was more in line with the market's feeling from our first year. The feeling was warm, friendly, supportive, and fun-filled. We ended the year on a high note with a new trick-or-treating tradition. It was so much fun to see all the little ones dressed up, seeing smiles, and talking with families. We genuinely enjoyed the day. The Bean and I made an unexpected trip to the store, and I picked up a five-pound bag of mixed candy bars, so my treats were not as disappointing as I anticipated. Next year, it is game on for creating amazing treats!
We gain new soap family members each year, create lasting memories, and build new friendships. I can't say enough good things about Ligonier Country Market. However, the people make the market special. I have always said that you won't find a more supportive, kind, and business-friendly group, from the board of directors to the vendors and the people attending. We genuinely have an extended family in our Ligonier Country Market friends. We have cultivated lasting connections with our market family in the past eight years. We thank each and every one of you for your support over the years. Because of you, we can do what we love in the place we love with the people we love. I will be forever grateful.
Thank you for another successful year. We look forward to next year, and I am already planning our market season for 2025. I am confident that with your support, 2025 will be even better. Although our weekly market season is over, we are not slowing down the month of October. Next Sunday, October 6th, you will find us over the hill at Blue Spruce Park, supporting our friends from The Alice Paul House. If you are within driving distance, I gently encourage you to come out and support a worthy cause that aids so many local families. The theme for the fundraiser is Gilmore Girls. The Bean and I love this show, and I am trying to convince both her and The Bibbed Wonder to dress the part. The Bean would make an excellent Rory; Eric only has to don a flannel shirt and turn his cap backward to impersonate Luke, and of course, I would be Lorilei. I feel we are kindred spirits. I'm flighty, creative, quirky, and somewhat neurotic. It will be a fun day that supports a helpful staple of our community.
October 19th is our Fall at the Farm event. We will welcome our soap family to the farm from 9 to 1. It will be a laid-back event with all my favorite vendor friends. I love welcoming everyone to our farm to see my goats, introduce you to outstanding small businesses and artisans, and showcase local talent. Our farm events are my favorite. It also happens to be my birthday. My dear friend, Sherry from Broken Locust, is making cupcakes for the event. Free cupcakes are motivation enough to attend. (Insert a wink).
The following weekend, we will be on our way to New Orleans to take The Bean to the Taylor Swift concert. This is her Christmas present from last year, which has been a long time coming. I hope to take in a few Halloween activities in the most haunted city in the U.S. The Bibbed Wonder has requested we spend at least a day with our feet in the sand on a beach somewhere, so it should be a fun, relaxing trip. Upon our return from our long-awaited vacation, we will be at the Ligonier Country Market Holiday Market. We will be at site number seven on Saturday, November 2, from 12-4, with holiday products and cheer.
We will then make one last appearance at Lone Oak Farm on December 7th. We love joining our friends from Lone Oak to celebrate the holidays. It's a lovely day filled with holiday delights, good food, and great company. We hope to see you throughout the fall and winter season.
Thank you for making what we do enjoyable, rewarding, and worthwhile. We could not do this without you. On this rainy Monday, stay safe, be smart, please know we appreciate you, and keep washing your hands.
